Delia is a multimedia artist and visual communicator who believes in the infinite power of storytelling. She is a 2002 graduate from Ohio University with degrees in Photojournalism and Spanish. Prior to moving to Athens in 2017, she lived for 12 years in Denver, Colorado, and owned a photography business. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Communication Media Arts from Scripps College in May 2020, focusing on Multimedia Interactive Storytelling for Social Change. Her award-winning documentary thesis project, “Prescription Nature, Green Time Over Screen Time,” explores the physical and mental health benefits of connecting children with the outdoors. Deliajoined ACEnet in 2021 as the Multimedia Designer and previously served as an Americorps volunteer with Ohio’s Winding Road, working to tell authentic local stories and build a regional brand. In her spare time, she can be found exploring the hills of Appalachia with her husband, children, and dog.
