Jarred is an arts professional with a history of passion serving public, educational, and non-profit institutions in grants and program management, consultation, research, and evaluation. Jarred has worked with professional artists, teaching artists, schools, government entities, and arts organizations big and small in envisioning a world in which the arts take center stage to address communities’ biggest challenges and opportunities. In his arts education-focused role at the Ohio Arts Council, he helps oversees agency Arts Learning grant programs, including those that support artist residencies, student visits to arts experiences, partnerships between organizations and schools conducting projects with arts learning at their core, and other special initiatives and activities for learners of all ages and abilities.

Jarred began his career as a music educator in the public schools of southwest Michigan, where he taught band, choir, orchestra, and guitar. He performs with a number of Central Ohio musical ensembles continually honing his oboe chops in orchestral, concert band, and chamber ensemble settings.
