A proud Hokie, Mallory’s day job is to connect the resources of Virginia Tech to Coastal Virginia and beyond. Her experience and passion are rooted in rural economic development, higher education, entrepreneurship and hospitality/tourism. A community supporter, Mallory is very involved in philanthropy in the Hampton Roads region and serves on the executive board of the Portsmouth Museums Foundation and Portsmouth Service League. She holds a M.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Virginia Tech and a B.S. from Ferrum College. Mallory enjoys spending time with her family (husband and two daughters) on the coast and is always looking for an opportunity to travel. Plagued by “projects”, Mallory is always working, fixing, organizing or starting something new. You can always find her trying to find things to check off her to-do list or on the dance floor – she rarely turns down the opportunity to bust a move.
