Originally from Los Angeles, California, Virginia Flood moved to Connecticut as an adolescent, living primarily in New London and Hartford. Virginia’s introduction to arts was through music, literature, film, and theater. Virginia pursued acting in her youth but as an adult became more comfortable as a writer. Virginia earned an Associates in Liberal Arts and Sciences at Three Rivers Community College where she worked as a writing tutor and as a teacher’s aide. At TRCC, Virginia was involved in student government and student-run organizations, becoming president of one organization whose mission statement was to raise awareness about social justice issues through the arts. Virginia transferred to Trinity College and studied English, Creative Writing, Rhetoric, and Media Arts. At Trinity, Virginia continued to tutor while also working in the Office of Multicultural Affairs. After graduating and completing a year of service with Public Allies, an AmeriCorps program, Virginia founded V Estelle Essentials during the pandemic when work opportunities were not abundant. V Estelle Essentials is a business offering herbal tea infusions, herbal smoking blends, and aromatherapy products. Virginia is finishing her novel and pursuing new artistic endeavors while working as an instructor and paraprofessional. She very much looks forward to connecting with you!
