Originally from Los Angeles, California, Virginia Flood moved to New London, CT as an adolescent. Virginia’s introduction to arts was through literature, film, and theater. Virginia pursued acting in my youth but as an adult became more comfortable as a writer. Virginia earned an Associates in Liberal Arts and Sciences at Three Rivers Community College where working as a writing tutor and as a teacher’s aide. Virginia was involved in student government and student run organizations, becoming president of one organization whose mission statement was to raise awareness about social justice issues through the arts. Virginia transferred to Trinity College and studied Creative Writing, Rhetoric, and Media Arts and worked in the Office of Multicultural Affairs. After graduating and completing a year at Public Allies, an AmeriCorps program, Virginia founded, V Estelle Essentials in 2020, a business offering herbal tea infusions, herbal smoking blends, and aromatherapy products.
