In 2020, when I was stuck in my apartment in New York for six long months, the topic of my PhD dissertation on culture and art crisis management arose. The sudden closure of cultural venues and the suspension of arts organizations throughout the world made me realize how vulnerable, inadaptable, and unprepared the cultural and art sectors are. It has driven me to do in-depth research in this field, exploring issues including how art communities can cope with an uncertain future when we are all living in a risky society. What should the art world do to be more adaptive and resilient, and better off in times of crisis? How should artists respond to crises in their own way to make the world a better place? Since then, I have dedicated myself to becoming a facilitator and educator for the development of crisis management and resilience in the cultural and arts sectors.
