Emily is the Program Director, Arts Services at the Maryland State Arts Council, where she works with independent artists and arts organizations across the state – specifically within the visual, media, multi-disciplinary, service, and traditional arts. She is able to work with the arts community to help with funding opportunities, professional development and strategic initiatives to reach further success in their mission and/or careers.Emily’s past experience in raising funds for arts nonprofits rooted in Baltimore has provided her a perspective that connects directly to those she works with. She also serves on the board of the Junior League of Baltimore, a women’s leadership and volunteer organization focusing on lifting up members to better serve the community. Between her professional work and volunteer commitments, Emily values her time being spent ensuring that we live in places filled with joy, equitable access to basic needs, safety, and the arts!
