Programs are now available online, in-person, and as hybrids.

AIR leaned into the COVID moment and transformed all our programming to online and hybrid experiences. We piloted, tested, and refined our methods. We used our values, our culture, and our curriculum to design not just new delivery methods, but to refine our programs to be even more accessible and impactful for the communities we serve. We are grateful for the incredible people who participated in hours of experiments and programming.

AIR COVID-19 Policy Adopted August 4, 2021

Staff & Facilitators Must Be vaccinated; Current CDC Guidelines Followed The AIR Board of Directors worked quickly and well together to draft and adopt a new COVID policy that we felt was necessary for us to move forward safely and as leaders. We encourage all of you to read our policy, reach out with questions or concerns, and try to think about what you think is going to make sense for you and your communities.

AIR Institute Corporation (“AIR”) will use reasonable judgement to determine staff and contractor participation at in-person activities on a case-by-case basis, based on current CDC recommendations, rate of COVID-19 community spread, and the specific details of the events being held. AIR Institute staff and contractors are required to provide proof of vaccination or written medical or religious exemption to the executive director. AIR Institute staff and contractors will follow current CDC recommendations while on duty: in offices, meetings, activities with the public, and when traveling for work. AIR public and private events will follow current CDC recommendations for public safety including, but not limited to: masking, distancing, and sanitation practices. Online accommodations will be made for all workshops and programs whenever possible. Participants in AIR Certified Facilitator Trainings require proof of vaccination or written medical or religious exemption. Participants will be required to follow current CDC recommendations for public safety including, but not limited to: masking, distancing, and sanitation practices. Online accommodations will be made for all workshops and programs whenever possible. Host sites for AIR Certified Facilitator Trainings and event locations are required to provide space that has properly operating ventilation systems, adequate space for participants to distance, regularly cleaned high touch surfaces, and the ability to follow guidance from the CDC. AIR Institute recommends that AIR programs that are implemented in communities follow similar protocols and accommodations. This may mean that AIR staff will be presenting and participating in activities while masked and distanced and that online accommodations will be provided for participants whenever possible. COVID-19 SAFETY ACKNOWLEDGMENT — LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS COVID-19 SAFETY INFORMATION: While participating in events held or sponsored by the AIR Institute Corporation, (“AIR”), consistent with CDC guidelines, participants are encouraged to practice hand hygiene, “social distancing” and wear face coverings to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19. Because COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is spread mainly from person-to-person contact, AIR has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. However, AIR cannot guarantee that its participants, volunteers, partners, or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19. DUTY TO SELF-MONITOR: Participants and volunteers agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath) and, contact ACS [email protected] if he/she experiences symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after participating or volunteering with AIR. LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS: I acknowledge that I derive personal satisfaction and a benefit by virtue of my participation and/or voluntarism with AIR, and I willingly engage in AIR events, programs and/or activities. RELEASE AND WAIVER. I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, AND DEMANDS OF WHATEVER KIND OR NATURE AGAINST THE AIR INSTITUTE CORPORATION AND ITS AFFILIATED PARTNERS AND SPONSORS, INCLUDING IN EACH CASE, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS (THE “RELEASED PARTIES”), EITHER IN LAW OR IN EQUITY, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW.

AIR Programs are COVID Response

AIR and the National Coalition for Arts Preparedness and Emergency Response (NCAPER) are leading a year-long pilot that is developing trainings and programs for national Crisis Analysis Mitigation (CAM) Coaches. The CAM cohort began their work together online in July 2021. The CAM coaches will be connecting the arts to the emergency preparedness and response
