Professionally, Heather leads strategy focused on supporting the advancement of contemporary art curators and artists across the country. In her 9 years at the Tremaine Foundation, she has expanded the curatorial portfolio from a single program (the Emily Hall Tremaine Exhibition Award) to a suite of grants that support dozens of curators and been instrumental in the launch of Artists Thrive, a national tool to assess and improve conditions for artists across the country. Heather continues to work with arts organizations to explore ways to enhance professional development trainings to best meet the needs of artists.

Personally, she devotes much of her free time to supporting her local community as both the Board President of the Bethel Education Foundation and as an active member of her church.
