Miranda Russell is a community-invested counselor with experience growing people, ideas, and partnerships. Her current position in Community Health with Ballad Health allows her to support programs and organizations working with resilience and recovery. She has a servant’s heart for rural communities and a desire to promote mental health initiatives throughout the Appalachian Highland region. As a therapist and creator, shevaluescreativity as a conduit for health. Thanks to being raised in the hollers and hills of Hancock County, Miranda values relationships, storytelling, and bluegrass music. Now, she and her husband have chosen “Overhome” to grow their own family. They have three children, Birdie Kate (wild as a mink), Myla Mae (sweet as soda pop), and Cedar Lewis (half bear and the other half cat). They previously owned and operated Hancock County Arts in Sneedville, TN. Miranda isalsoblessed to be healthy and happy after surviving a breast cancer diagnosis in June 2019.
