Ohio

Ohio’s cultural landscape is full of creative people, places, and organizations that do the essential work of maintaining vibrant communities. Air Collaborative’s work in Ohio amplifies the creative forces that are already at play in our state. By focusing its efforts in the Appalachian region of the state, Air’s work in Ohio fits snuggly in the Ohio Arts Council’s (OAC) strategic plan by leading, engaging, innovating, and investing. Air and the OAC are working together to improve connectivity within communities and lay the groundwork for building nimble creative economies. With support from the Ohio Arts Council, staff at the Appalachian Center for Economic Networks and Rural Action, Air Ohio is launching in Athens County, which is home to thriving artists and pioneering organizations, businesses, and initiatives that use creative placemaking to build stronger communities.
